We use prepositions to talk about specific dates, times, and places. Let's review at, on, and in.

  • at: for specific times (at 3 PM, at noon, at night) and specific addresses/points (at the coffee shop, at 24 Main Street).
  • on: for days of the week (on Tuesday, on Friday evening) and dates (on May 1st, on my birthday).
  • in: for months, years, seasons (in July, in 2025, in the summer), and general places/areas (in the park, in London, in the afternoon/morning/evening).
