Terms of service
Last updated: 4 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Lessonpills, an online English-language teaching platform operated by Michał Włosik EFC, ul. Północna 16/5, 54-105 Wrocław, Poland (NIP 8942747708) — referred to below as “we”, “us” or “Lessonpills”.
By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
Lessonpills provides interactive English lessons at lessonpills.com and learn.lessonpills.com. Depending on your plan, the service may include access to our lesson library, tools for generating your own lessons, and the ability to share lessons with your students.
We provide the service to teachers, tutors and independent learners. You are responsible for how you use it with your own students, including the suitability of any lesson for a particular learner.
2. Accounts
Some content is available without an account. To save favourites, subscribe, or generate lessons you must create an account with a valid email address, or sign in with Google.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Accounts are personal to you — you may use lessons with your own students, but you may not share your account credentials with other teachers or resell access to it.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are using the service in a professional capacity with learners under 16, you are responsible for any consents required in your jurisdiction.
3. Plans and payment
We offer a free tier and paid subscription plans. Current plans, prices and included features are listed on our pricing page, which forms part of these terms.
Merchant of record
Payments are processed by Polar Software Inc., acting as merchant of record. This means Polar is the seller of record for your purchase and is responsible for billing, invoicing, and collecting and remitting any applicable sales tax or VAT. Your purchase is also subject to Polar’s terms. We never receive or store your card details.
Billing and renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you chose — until cancelled. Prices are shown exclusive of local taxes, which are calculated at checkout.
You may cancel at any time from your account’s billing page or through the Polar customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep access until then, and you are not charged again.
Changing plans
You may upgrade or downgrade at any time. Plan changes are prorated — you are charged or credited only for the difference for the remainder of the billing period.
4. Generation allowance (“tokens”)
Plans that include lesson generation come with a monthly allowance of tokens. Tokens are an internal accounting unit, not a currency: they have no cash value, cannot be bought or sold separately, and cannot be exchanged or refunded.
| Action | Cost |
|---|---|
| Generating a full lesson | 15 tokens |
| Adding or regenerating a single exercise | 1 token |
| Editing text, reordering or deleting exercises | Free |
| A generation that fails | Free — no tokens are charged |
Your allowance resets at the start of each billing period. Unused tokens do not carry over and are not refundable. Tokens are only consumed when a lesson is saved or an exercise is successfully generated; a generation you abandon before saving costs nothing.
5. Lessons you generate
Ownership
Lessons you generate are yours. We claim no ownership over the exercises, text or audio produced for you, and you may use them freely in your own teaching, including commercially with your own students.
You may not, however, republish generated lessons as a competing lesson library, resell them as a standalone product, or use them to train a machine-learning model.
Source material
When you generate a lesson from a YouTube video or other third-party source, you are responsible for ensuring your use of that material is lawful in your jurisdiction — typically under educational fair use or fair dealing. We transcribe source material to build teaching exercises and do not host, copy or redistribute the source itself. We may cache transcripts to avoid re-processing the same source.
Nature of AI output
Lessons are generated using automated systems, including large language models and text-to-speech services. Generated content may occasionally contain factual errors, inaccurate answer keys, or language that is not appropriate for your learner’s level. You should review any generated lesson before teaching it. We provide generated content “as is” and make no warranty as to its pedagogical accuracy.
Access if your subscription ends
If your paid subscription lapses, you keep read access to the lessons you have already generated, and you may continue to edit or delete them. You will not be able to generate new lessons, and share links you created will stop working for the people you sent them to. Re-subscribing restores full access.
6. Our content
Lessons in our library, along with the platform itself, its design, and its underlying software, are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright.
A paid subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use library lessons in your own teaching, including with your own students, and to share individual lessons with students via the sharing links we provide. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, or republish library lessons, or use them to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model.
Share links for library lessons expire 30 days after creation. Circumventing sharing limits, scraping the library, or providing bulk access to non-subscribers is not permitted.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to generate content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful;
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, entitlement checks, or authentication;
- Access the service by automated means, scrape content, or place unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the service to people who are not your own students;
- Reverse engineer the platform or attempt to extract prompts, models or source code.
Generation features are powered by third-party AI providers, and your use of them is also subject to those providers’ acceptable-use policies. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, and may withhold refunds where the breach is serious or repeated.
8. Right of withdrawal and refunds
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content and services supplied immediately, that right is lost once performance has begun with your express consent.
By subscribing and immediately accessing premium lessons or generating a lesson, you request that we begin providing the service straight away and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once we have done so.
Beyond that, we would rather have happy customers than unhappy ones. If something has gone wrong — the service did not work as described, or you subscribed by mistake and have not used it — contact us at contact@lessonpills.com and we will consider a refund in good faith. Refunds are issued through Polar.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available and working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, change features, or discontinue parts of the service. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will give subscribers at least 30 days’ notice by email.
We depend on third-party services — including hosting, payment, and AI providers — and are not responsible for interruptions caused by them, though we will make reasonable efforts to restore service.
10. Ending your account
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account cancels any active subscription, and permanently removes your favourites, generated lessons, share links and settings. This cannot be undone. Records we are required to keep for accounting purposes are retained as described in our privacy policy.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. Where we do so without cause, we will refund any unused portion of a prepaid subscription period.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
Subject to that, the service is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data. Our total liability arising from or in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify registered users by email and update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. Consumers may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
